For thirty-five years, internationally renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky has dedicated himself to depicting industrial landscapes and the transformations of nature by humankind around the world. His work on ecological issues took him to China in the 2000s, where he created several photographic series highlighting the human and environmental consequences of modernization.
Director of the UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing since 2011, he hosted the most important Picasso exhibition in China in 2019, produced and toured by Doors.

With video collage of images taken from photo albums and old magazines, Lei Lei won in 2018 the Jimei x Arles Discovery Award without touching a camera. Doors met him before his exhibition in Arles International Photo festival.
